Position
Opportunity: Engineer Technician / Facilities Management
Location:
Multiple – New Mexico, Arkansas, Okalahoma and Texas
Duties and
Tasks: Duties and tasks include engineering support services to
our client, the U.S. Army 90th Regional Readiness
Command. These services involve serving as Facility Management
Specialist (Mid-level manager) for various U.S. Army Reserve Centers and/or training
facilities.
Specific duties
include
·
Coordinating facility function such as building
maintenance and repair, physical security, safety, hazardous
materials control, environmental compliance and contractor
oversight;
·
Coordinating supply and service requirements;
·
Determining best method of procurement;
·
Providing project management and quality assurance
support for various new construction and maintenance and repair
projects within the area of operation;
·
Acting as liaison for projects with HQ, IMA-ARD and
Army Corps of Engineers;
·
Coordinating real estate proposals between the U.S.
Army Reserve and local government and state agencies;
·
Coordinating with units on facility issues which
effect readiness;
·
Review Work Order Requests, project submittals, and
visit sites to inspect, verify and validate work requirements and
cost estimates; and gather detailed information prior to making
recommendations and developing contract requirements.

Performance of duties related to contract package
development (maintenance, repair, construction, requirements and
service contracts), preparation, and quality assurance evaluation.
Includes the development of detailed, step-by-step plans and
specifications for accomplishing the project and the preparation of
sketches reflecting construction details.

Tasks may also include planning, management, and
coordination of small, less complex projects/programs. Review
project specifications and confer with Supervisory Facility
Management Officer concerning assistance required, such as plan
preparation, acceptance testing, and evaluation of field conditions,
design changes, and reports. Surveys project sites to obtain and
analyze topographical details of sites.
Education and Technical Requirements:
Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or
Building Management related degree program (experience considered in
lieu of degree), plus a minimum of three years of experience in
engineering / facility project management.
Specific Requirements: Specific skills
and experience include:

Experience in analyzing and evaluating existing
records and databases, identify and resolve data errors,
duplications and/or inconsistencies. Prepare necessary documents
required to resolve data errors and support real property
acquisitions and disposals.
·
Update real property records based on surveys,
historical information, site visits with appropriate adjustments to
HQIFS database.
·
Prepare and process DD Form 1354, Transfer and
Acceptance of Military Real Property, DA Form 337, Request for
Approval of Disposal of Buildings and Improvements, and make
adjustments to the HQIFS database.
·
Update and maintain Engineer Management Automation
Army Reserve (EMAAR) and Army Stationing Installation Plan (ASIP)
and Real Property Planning and Analysis System (RPLANS) databases.
·
Review field conditions to determine proper course of
action for resolution of Engineering Service Requests (ESR).
·
Develop written studies that contain recommendations
for remediation, and the development of estimated repair costs,
monthly reports identifying the status of ongoing studies and
monitoring FGEA and A/E progress.

Review FGEA or A/E progress report submittals and
provide comments to FGEA and/or A/E in regards to scope of work and
contract compliance.
Special Requirements: Employee must
pass security background investigation and be eligible to hold U.S.
Government security clearance
